The sandstone frontispice above the main entrance displays the coats of arms of the Huber and De Hertoghe fam ilies. In 1745 Schatzenburg Manor became part of the "Vredenhof Foundation". The foundation established a beguinage for elderly ladies in the adjoining village of Dronrijp. The "Vredenhof Foundation" still exists today.
